15VmaxXL
Well since i cant find a 4th hifonics 1606d im going to attempt to buy either 1 amp thats .5 ohm stable or 2 nice amps to power both subs. I dont have tons and tons of cash so i cant just out and buy a t4000d or sundown 4500. So please be realalistic. If you know if any good amps that arent killers on your pocket please let me know. Ive been looking at soundtsream 6500. But i still haven't gotten a price from the dealers around me. I want to run AROUND 3k rms to each sub. 12volt system. All electrical is upgraded. So we are good there. Thanks Doug This would also be a good topic to save, once its done, so that we can resort back to it if we ever want to see other options. Marlo Stanfield
If you're gonna be running a normal 12v setup then I'd count out the XXX6500D... @ 1ohm on a 12v system you won't be seeing anything near 6k, only on 16v/18v will you see anything near the ratings. The best deal on the market today IMO is an AQ 3500D for $550 shipped.. Will do every bit of the 3500w @ 1ohm rating, great build quality, and great CS. For the price it really can't be beat. The OP mentioned that 2 amps were gonna be wired to 1ohm or a single amp @ .5ohm, so it looks like he's running 2 D2 woofers. I wouldn't suggest running an AP 3k @ 1ohm daily by any means, so I didn't bother suggesting them. Quote 1998 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer... New setup, old ride...
