In all honesty your better off paying it off i got pulled over for my license plate light being out then he told me my tint was to dark so thats two things then my tail light tint was illegal then my tires didn.t have enough thread ? so thats four then my front blinkers had a light coat of tint on and i got hit for that so it all added up to 500 + for that stuff i fought for it all and got it but it isnt easy it took two weeks in court i mean i fixed my tail light tint and that but kept my tires and window tint cops just suck

He could have been a total dick and searched your car for having probable cause. Again the illegal tint and lights gave him a reason.

and unless it's YOUR private property there is no point in going the "private property" route.

soo today i go to get ice cream with some friends and we just sit there and chill for about an hour and i leave i go to the gas station thats in the same parking lot.i get gas i go to park next to my friend befor i put it in park this cop come from across the parking lot lights me up and hits me with the spotlight.he comes up to my car asks me for my liences reg and insurance...i give it to him and he goes back to his car.Im seting there for like 5 min then back up comes,i sit there for another 10 min then he comes up to my window with a fix it ticket with for my headlights.tinted windows,and 2 week over due insurance paper,im insured still but just dont have new one...i ask him are you serious he said heres the ticket sign.i kinda go off on him and ask how do i get a ticket in a PRIVATE parking lot for window tint and blue hid.I told him i would totaly understand if i were on the streets but i did nothin wrong and he pulled me over in a parking lot.so i go down to the police station at like 7 clock tonight pick up the phone in front of the staion and ask to have a cop come talk to me about it. a cop comes i tell him everything what happened he said legaly he cant give me a ticket unless the poperty owner calls on me or im on the streets. so i have to go befor a judge. i cant belive this happened to me tonight i feel like i just got slaped in the face i didnt even see it comeing...so im goin to court on the 3/18 to challenge it...what do you think will happen??? :censored: DO YOU THINK THE JUDGE IS GONNA THROW OUT THE TICKET???????

well, you got to that parking lot somehow.I assume you drove there. Unless you install the HID's and the tint in that parking lot.

when you get pulled over. Stare at the cops mouth. Then tell him you can't stop staring at his mouth.

If it does (probably) get dropped, then the cop knows where you live and I'm sure he will be there waiting for you to get you on the streets .. they have nothing better to do, at least not around here.

Some cops are dicks, just gotta deal with it. Like its already been said, when you have illegal tint and blue HIDs, you make yourself a target for getting shit thrown at you. If you made your ride nice so you would get attention, now you got it. You can either take him to court or pay the fines. Either way, get over it. Cops will always be dicks, you aren't going to change that. So enough with the "but I was in a parking lot, boo fucking hoo", crying about it here does nothing, take it to the judge and see what he says. He could have easily waited for you to get on the road and pegged you there.

at least the cop didn't chase you down and ass rape you. I hate when that happens.

That is why you talk to your state represenative and find out what ur legal maximum tint is you can have on your window, then u go to the shop where u got it from and have them give u a certified peice of paper saying what it is. You could also go to a doctor and get a bogus prescription saying u have an eye condition where you need the tint to be that dark. Your state represenative will also tell you how bright of lights you can have, and what color they can be. Insurance ticket will get droped once the States attorney sees ur paper stating u had insurance. But all that aside, why spend the money to do something to ur vehicle without first finding out if its legal or illegal, because its just wasting your money and your time having to fix everything. Thats my 2 cents. Oh village or town/city laws can very from the set state laws ie. there is no state law probly for sound systems but most towns have a 50-75ft ordnance on systems.

any body in ca can get the driving code book from dmv for $7 i think. in ca atleast...by the letter of the law anything you do to your vehical that did not come from the factory is illegal. but there are variations that are either inforced or not. if you do things that will draw attention you will get it. good and bad. those of us who have lved our chilhoods have learned to what extreme are we going to risk for that look or to get that attention. best thing is to know the rules so you have a choice whan making mods.

You have to be realistic here, it isn't the cops (most of the time), it's the laws. The laws BLOW true enough, but the cops don't make the laws. It isn't fair to expect cops to pick and choose which laws they are and are not going to enforce. The easy solution is to follow the laws and if the laws suck, then do what you need to in order to get the laws changed, which is monumentally difficult I know. Bottom line is you can't expect to willingly break laws and to never be caught.
