srt8demon420
I was thinking about putting a turbocharger in my 95 toyota camry. I dont have the money for it yet, but i thought it would be cool because no one has probably done this before. I need a yes or no, and maybe some ideas on which one to use and what not.... OrionStang
I don't know how long that motor would last on turbo power. Might have to do some other upgrades. I have never seen a turbo camry. SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread

I don't think turboing an engine that has 200k miles on it is a great plan. especially one not built for boost. the4stringking
There have been a few turbo camrys, check youtube or Toyota Nation forum. What ever you do don't buy an ebay universal or any universal kit. Since I do not believe any companies make a kit for the camry specifically you would have to buy all the parts. For that motor a t67 would run nice. But upgrades would be required, many upgrades Old setup 2002 Camry LE Fi Q 12" BP power in a 2.3 cu box tuned to 28 hz Alpine MRP-1000 JVC Deck RE 800.2 speaker amp RE Coax 6x9's in front doors and Deck Alpine Type S 6.5's in trunk now... 2006 Subaru Legacy 2.5i Special Edition JVC KDX double din 1 Run of Knu Konceptz 1/0 Big 3 Waiting to get Amp and sub(s) and speakers

It should'nt be to hard to turbo the Camry. There tons of companies that can make you a turbo manifold. The easy part is the motor, rods, and pistons are all easily attainable and not much overkill on the wallet. 2 questions that would come up are: how much hp are you shooting for? How streetable/reliable do you wan't to keep it? Your hardest obstacle to overcome will be the weak ass tranny and the lack of aftermarket support on a engine management system to control the air/fuel management that the new setup will require. Another thing to think about is the pesky injectors that will need replacing i think yours might be around 140cc and will definatly need upgrading.....check out RC enginnering. There are a lot mor parts that you will need! You do the homework im too lazy. P.S. Save yourself a headache and invest in a Supra!!!
