terminals are fine the way you have them. maybe try ditching that die hard in the back and see what happens

When I put my first system in I had the same problem because I was running a step down. If I bumped to hard the step down would send the amp in to protect and I would have to restart my truck.

Idk if this will help I dont think you have anything like that. Just an idea.

yah im planning on changing the rear batt, but i mean right now im dying without bass!!!... i cant buy a batt till next week. do i need a line driver??? would a deck without a high volt output make the amp go into protect????. or if my sub output on the deck is bad it would not make my amp go into protect right?. frick this is irritating the sh!t out of me. has ANYONE had this problem before????......F*CK ME...

the power and the wire that reads the volts for the meter are connected to the remote wire from the amp. could that be the prob? shoot at this point everything is comming into play in my head.....!@#$%^&*(*&^%$#@!@#@!

Do you have another amp or sub to make tests with?

If you don't have anything else first try disconnecting the sub and see if its still going into protect mode if it isnt then you may have a bad sub but its tough to say unless you have some known good gear to try things with.

well i did test out the amp in my friends range rover....it stayed on and bumped fine. thats why it has to be something with my electrical or wiring, but i dont know what!!. and the cvr is not blown. but i no longer have it connected and the amp was still in protect!!...thats what i dont get!!!. i sold my 15.2 HCCA and my old sundown to buy this one and a Fi Q that im waiting on... ( i know im weird) im kinda going into a SQ faze so to say.... but I JUST WANT MY AMP TO WORK..... :cry:

my old sundown 1200d wouldnt even play without going into protect when i was using a cheap wal mart batt as my 2nd. took it out and it played just fine

Are your grounds tight? is your remote wire grounding out? RCAs? My T8004 just went into protect the other day for the first time....I thought maybe a speaker wire got pinched or cut.....after chasing down all the wiring it turned out on of my RCA got cut somehow and grounded on my rear seat bracket.

Worst case scenario I would take it out and bench test it....take it out put it on your work bench or something similar....bring your sub, box, and a battery and get an 1/8" ipod jack to RCA cord and test it....

Then you know the wiring couldn't be faulty and it is potentially the amp.

Also check and see if one of your two coils on your sub are blown then it could throw the amp into protect.

Ok so I appreciate you guys helping me. I guess I'm gonna just trace everything and hopefully l will find the bug that's cause this insanity! Lol. I hope my amp is not bad. I mean I even let my friend borrow it over night so he could use it and see if it turned off on him and he had no probs. And yes I'm gonna pick up another batt for the rear. One of my friends said the batt in the rear is the problem,he said It can't handle the drain or some shit. But I have no sub hooked up and it stays in protect and that's what driving me to insanity.

Could be a bad shield in one of the RCAs. I know those amps go into protect right away if there's a ground taking a silly path.

EDIT EDIT EDIT: Check the voltage at the terminals of the amp with a DMM, both before it turns on and when it tries to. All the time I see people who have popped one of the fuses going to their rear battery, and the rear battery has actually gone flat.
