slim8605
Sorry to start a new thread about my next amp but I wanted to get as much input as I could because this is gonna be a big purchase for me. I know the RF will put out more power but does it have any other advantages? Are the Memphis amps overrated at all? Which will draw more current? The reason I am askin is because I can get the Memphis for a couple hundred cheaper and I wanted to know if the RF amp is worth the extra money? AI James
i ran the RF i had off a single 200amp alt and a yellow top in my old accord and it seemed fine. also had it in gf's explorer with stock alt but kinetik in the back and big three workd great in there also. havent messed with the memphis though
jsmoke222000
I haven't messed with memphis amps much but it is hard for me to go against RF. I've got 2 RF T30001BD's & I have had no problems running them. I'm running 1 on 4 12's with 1 yellow top stinger & a single 200 amp alt. Quote Jared Nixon A.K.A. meade916
if you plan on using multiple amps eventually then the RF wins hands down. I say it does anyway but you know I AM GONNA say that the memphis is a good choice too but RF has better features IMO, especially in a multi amp configuration. slim8605
I figured everyone here would lean towards the RF, especially Meade but I was wondering if anybody played with the Memphis at all. I dont plan on doin any more than one amp but... yea... RF T40001BD it is! Now I jus gotta figure out how to get another 3 and squeeze 4 18's in a Camry! EricR
wall it FTW....id get 2 T4k's if you gonna run 4 18's.....2k per sub........wall it with part of the box in the trunk then mount both tha amps in tha trunk with a few batts... Quote i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work?
