Rogers
ok so im going to be getting a damaged SA-12 this weekend... the guys dog chewed up the rubber surround... so i will need to get it fixed... can it be refoamed or does it have to be a full out recone? Who do i need to get ahold of? Jacob? or do i just need to contact DB-r? i would just email Jacob about it but i know he is a busy guy, and i dont want to have to bother him if its not necessary.... and one last question... any ideas on what it will cost to get fixed? n8ball2013
that terminology. its a surround. it may be a foam surround but the act of replacing it is not refoaming. 79 cutty
that terminology. its a surround. it may be a foam surround but the act of replacing it is not refoaming. Everyone was new to this at one stage or another, no point in making a joke of it. You don't learn that way. You learn by people willing to inform and teach you! Ben G.
I would say if you could find someone that already re-coned one of those woofers, and they had took the surround off nicly and not a hack job, I would say buy the surround from them and shim your coil and glue the new surround on and let it dry and take your shims out put your dust cap back on and bump away.
