And to question his building expertise is just pathetic on a subwoofers builders part. But I do understand why nick wouldn't want to warranty and take responsibility for his sub blowing, when it appears to not be a fault in the woofer. Seeing as how the entire problem hasn't even been fully investigated, both Ed and Nick are simply degrading their characters over this bickering. It pisses me off to see two well respected members of the audio world arguing over whose fault this problem with no cause is. I can't even pick a side here, because neither side is in the right. Its a big install, of course there's going to be problems and breaking (especially if you put such a rush on it). Tear it apart, see what the problem is and pay to fix whatever broke, then correct the issue. I still don't think the plexi box and roof mounted amps should be scrapped, because this build is amazing. Brace the roof, make it happen, keep the uniqueness. doug118 Posted September 10, 2010 Report Posted September 10, 2010 I also think the other 2 shops NEED to be mentioned The wall idea would be insane but as said, subs with a 15" mounting depth might be difficult to do The idea of an undertray for the amps seems to be the best solution for the build. yeah it would be cool to see the amps in a rack behind the wall and all lit up for at this point it's obviously whatever will protect and get the most out of the investment possible. 2001 Tahoe. Hummers are wider than Astros. And I did it with much less width up top.
