badfish Posted March 28, 2010 Report Posted March 28, 2010 ive never had more than one amp at a time before, and i was gonna use a relay this time around until i started looking for one and the diode stuff came up. is it just extra work not required for 3 or 4 amps? Quote

Reallunacy Posted March 28, 2010 Report Posted March 28, 2010 He's getting diode from the fact that relays can let some high voltage slip in when they switch, so for certain applications you should use a diode to prevent it.
