haha looks like a stetsom 5k2 e 1ohm is teh winner.. could one btl in a 5.5cft box at 31 hz take this if its pretty clean power say 1 1400 up front 1 in back? i could easily swing that by the end of the summer. maybe squeeze another btl or if im lucky sell my btl and get my some big DC's.

if you want DC's why not just wait?

if you're gonna put that much power you might wanna think about 5 cubes after displacement with the waves being scoped and COMPLETELY unclipped.

i dont think id clip anything if i have 4 kinetic 1400's and Decaf's music. so that means no dirty power? i think 4 1400's is a strong bank for 5kw but idk im still new at this

well 4 1400's imo should be ok for 4kw maybe 5kw depending on your alt etc but if your going to spend 200 a piece on 4 1400s why not buy like 2 xs power d3100's at 350 a piece you should def have enough for 5kw with those, or look in the f/s you could find kinetike 2400's or d3100's used and maybe get 3 3100's or 4 2400's i mean with 800 bucks i think you could do better than 4 1400s.

as far as the amp, maybe like 2 AQ 2200's or a 3500. the 2200 runs 389.00. so thts 780 for 4.4kw or you could get the 3500 for 750.

As far as stetsom amps, people bash them because they bsically use the parts that other companies use. but the parts that one company uses to make a 2kw amp stetsom uses to make a 5kw amp. So the point being is that they push their stuff to the limit to produce the power. Take a look at the 7kd or w.e it is and youll be like damn that amp is small compared to other lower 4kw amps from other companies.

Stetsoms do rated, but alot of people use them as burp only amps, competition only setups- on a daily setup not so much.

that honestly has very little to do with clipping.

the output voltage, coming from your amp, determines your clip.

if the wave turns square at say 87 volts AC and you have the gain set @ 110 volts ..... heh well, death.

batteries only help your amps power supply not to go up in smoke IMO.

and you can definately still clip even with Decafs stuff because he cant determine what kinda output voltages you are gonna be pushing through your amps, all he can do is send a clean signal to your amps. what you do from there is on you.

Its much less right now. There is another presale for the 2nd run for the 4500d. Go to the Sundowns website and see if there is a local dealer or sales rep near by. I believe the pre sale price is $1200 right now.
