EclipseChris Posted April 2, 2010 Report Posted April 2, 2010 4500 watt amp with a 1200 watt power kit? i highly doubt that thing does 4500. but prolly close to the 2250. unfortunately i think its really hard to find high power amps for a good budget build unless you buy used. just my opinion. im sure these guys will chime in more It looks like it has 3 30 amp fuses so at 100% efficiency it would get 14.4(volts) x 90 (amps) = 1296 (watts) Absolute maximum Correct me if im wrong. i resolve to be a nicer moderator. Tercel build R.I.P. Eclipse build Old New V-Dub My feedback.
bcpballer64 Posted April 2, 2010 Author Report Posted April 2, 2010 What about SSL how are they brand wise? Im looking at the SSL EV5000D to be specific. AI James Posted April 2, 2010 Report Posted April 2, 2010 honestly if your looking to spend 250 bucks on that kinda power your in the wrong hobby
tejcurrent Posted April 2, 2010 Report Posted April 2, 2010 x2. I'd rather have good power and cheaper subs. I can't see spending more per sub than per amp, rarely works out that way. I'd rather spend 500 on an amp and 250 on a sub than vice-versa. tejcurrent XS Power T3
bcpballer64 Posted April 2, 2010 Author Report Posted April 2, 2010 Im buying the sub used i was just trying to find an inexpensive amp. i quess ill just save longer for a better amp or something. Ever banned by me while dropping a deuce. Feel privileged
Bumpn Posted April 2, 2010 Report Posted April 2, 2010 Audiopipes are good budget amps, as are the MBQ dsc line. Quantum, PA, SSL, none of those will do anything close to rated
cthedinger Posted April 2, 2010 Report Posted April 2, 2010 why would you spend so much on one sub and then want to put it on a low quality amp? If you have any questions PM me or Add me on Facebook CLICK ME! Shop at ct-sounds.com Subscribe to us on YouTube
bcpballer64 Posted April 2, 2010 Author Report Posted April 2, 2010 Im still finding out what brands are safe. I know the top brands like stesom, SA, etc. I'm just trying to look for something that I dont have to drop >$500 on. Where is a good place to get the Adiopipe's? And isn't the 3000D a 2 channel?
