Guest Posted April 3, 2010 Report Posted April 3, 2010 my headlights were yellow as fuck and i needed to do something about it. the 3m kit had an attachment for a drill so thats why i chose it. Product, bought for ~$24 out the door at Autozone Left Headlight Before Right Headlight Before following the instructions and taking my sweet ass time, it took me about an hour from start to finish. Left Headlight After Sanding Before Final Polish Left Headlight After Final Polish Both Done Closeup-ish final thoughts, i strongly recommend this product to anyone that has yellow (oxidized) plastic headlights and wants to make em super clear again.

Forevrbumpn Posted April 3, 2010 Report Posted April 3, 2010 Not bad, we got 3 cars hat need to be done up. I seen these kits at Autozone, and pepboys I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.

I seen these kits at Autozone, and pepboys its ok, but i wouldve been done alot faster and looked nicer if each headlight didnt have those 3 friggin plastic studs for the alignment machine. i had to go around them over and over. edit: i did the right headlight twice, it still looked fuzzy the first time so i went back with the 800 grit (2nd pad) then went to the 2000 grit (3rd pad) with water and spent a GOOD amount of time putting the polishing compound on.

Buy a variety pack of wet sand paper, meguires "plast-x" and a good wax and you can do better, and you have supplies that will last alot longer. After a few months if you dont keep the lenses clean, they are gonna go right back to fogged. CERTIFIED BITCHES!!! Not being new at something doesn't mean anything.
