bigbodylexus
Okay so after my first show I am thinking that my decision on electrical will be as follows: 150 amp alternator and a Kinetik HC1400 in the trunk. I already have the Big 3 upgraded and I think I will add one more run of 1/0 ga. just for good measure. As long as the batteries are the same design (both will be AGM, but two different brands) do the brand names have to match? I've never worried about matching batteries... even AGM and regular Lead Acid cells. Never had any issues... the parasitic draw may become an issue if the car is parked for LONG periods but not in a daily driver. I'm trying my best to become a part of Team Sundown, so now to help my amp out with a little more juice, oh yeah J. Fuller you should be able to answer this question. If I do a re-cone for the SA-12's with the aluminum coils, will there be a dramatic difference when playing around the 40-42Hz range? sundownz
The primarily difference is additional temperature handling... slightly less mass will also give a few tenths of SPL.
