Adding ballast sucks. The only good thing about adding ballast is the ability to put it where you want to balance the car when the is on the scales. Never thought about putting in a stereo in my race car as ballast. I might have to copy you. haha..

It is actually capable of well over 1000 hp, I just havn't leaned on it yet. The turbo will easily support 20 psi on that motor and remain in the efficiency range of the compressor. Obviously, the 1.32 turbine and 5 inch downpipe arn't going to have any backpressure issues at that power level either, LOL. I still have a lot of other chassis issues to sort out before I turn it up though, I have never even put race gas in it yet!!!

I'm running the cables right now, hopefully we'll have the floor of the box glassed in by tonight.

Last night I got the deck installed, and began running the cable. We cut out the old 4 gauge charge wire and grounds, and installed twin 1/0 grounds that go to the rear seatbelt bolts. This works out nice because it's and integral part of the unibody, and they are concealed by the interior panels. We will also have another grounding point on the rear portion of the body tub. All chassis grounds are cleaned of with a flap disc to bare metal and sandwiched to the body using a 3/8" stainless bolt and nut, with a star washer on the back side. We only have 4 days left to get the system playable for the Show this Saturday.

Well, we've been working on the box until 1 O'clock in the morning for the past two nights, and I'm tired! We still have a long way to go, and we only have tonight and Friday to have this thing playable for the the show on Saturday. Here's Episode two showing the deadening going in. We has another long, yet productive night last night. We got the floor of the box pretty much all laid out in fiber glass, and the amps modded to run on 16 volts. Now we basically just have to screw in the ports, do some more re-enforcing with fiberglass, and screw on the top and the box will be done.
