After putting 200 lbs of ballast in the back of my race car to make weight, it occurred to me: "hey, why not just put a system in it?" So, we are throwing together a quick and dirty install in our 1992 Mustang drag car. System will consist of a single 21" Incriminator DP sub pushed by twin Kicker ZX2500.1 amps modded to run at 16.5 volts. Charging system will be a MechMan 300+ amp alternator and an XSpower D1400 battery. Box will be designed to be as rigid and lightweight as possible using resin re-enforced birch plywood and fiberglass. It will be 8 cubes after port and sub displacement, sub up port forward. This isn't an SPL vehicle, so we are just going to try and make it a fun demo car to take to some of the shows. We deadened it over the weekend, and will be laying glass tonight. It's too bad Mecca doesn't do the "boom and zoom" class anymore, because I'm pretty sure we would dominate, LOL. More vids to come! Especially running them at 17 volts I'm used to putting WAY more power to subs than I should, and According to Nick at Incriminator, it shouldn't be a problem.
