Honestly even if they were in my price range I dont think I could justify the price. No matter the sound quality. Ask bill about his 1500 dollar tweeters, ask him if they are worth the money... IMO I wouldnt spend that kind of money period. Quality is something we all strive for. Be honest James are they worth it? No bullshiting no trolling be honest. Would you spend the money to buy these? as to me not affording it thats hilarious, one of my amps cost more then 2 of your internet china made amps. You pay out the ass for lesser improvements the faster (or higher quality in this case) you go. Going from a 10 second quarter to a 9 second is cheap in comparison to going from a 8 second to a 7 second and so on. Is it worth it to run a second faster to the average person? No... How about the guys who spend 50,000 to go .4 seconds faster? How about the guys who spend hundreds of thousands to run 6? Technically audio isn't worth it period. We can live without it and if you spend any money what so ever on upgraded audio you can't draw a line that says "only this much better is ok" as it doesn't make any sense. It is no different than saying a couple 12's from Radio Shack are just as good as some Fi's or AA's or whatever. AI James Posted April 11, 2010 Report Share Posted April 11, 2010 were they worth it at the time? very much so..i made more then enough money for the expenditure, why i got rid of them? anyone who knows me knows i ALWAYS have high end equipment and i always am switching stuff out...i like having experience with things , im one of those guys that enjoys the building aspect then once its done im ready to try something new. some people cant tell the diff in a 200-300 set of comps and an expensive set so for those people maybe its not worth it. as said before though is ANY audio really worth it though. do you HAVE to have 2 18s walled in a 2 door car...that may be just as ridiculous to someone else as you think these 10k and 4k components are. My main point is how am i a troll for having experience with somethign and commenting on them, and people just running their mouths with 0 experience whatsoever are not trolls because they are "not worth it" due to sheer price alone and nothing more then that. being perfectly honest (nothign to hide here) i lost my job about 2 years ago, family was in monetary trouble, so the first things to go was my audio equipment, because i rather my children eat and have a place to live then me have 10k speakers...in that case they werent worth having... so if im a troll to you so be it, its just hilarious the lack of any real experience whatsoever when it comes to high end equipment here and people still feel the need to..."troll" Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If you can afford them, more power to you. Some of you guys are obviously new to this type of thing, so please take a look at some high-end home audio gear some time. $5k ain't shit. And for the record, if certain subs are worth $1k or more, the Utopia Be's are worth every penny of $5k or more. Think about what you're saying...
