i always heard 2 subs in the same box (like not in separate chambers) was bad cause the woofers like fight each other but i see plenty people on here with there subs sharing one box. i did notice they are all ported and not sealed i dont know if thats what im confusing but i could fit another 15" in mine if i was to use one box and try not to make separate boxes lol

yes its ok, if you want to do a 2nd 15 make sure you have the airspace. there is no need for 2 seperate boxes

R.I.P '01 blazer you treated my ears well until your transmission blew up.

You always heard wrong. And it doesn't matter whether the enclosure is ported or sealed. I guess one could argue that using a partition is optimal if you aren't using a mono amplifier, but even then the argument is weak...

You can't fix stupid

whoever you always heard that from you should stop talking to them. THOUSANDS of people run multiple woofers in the same box. the only way they would fight eachother is if they were powered by 2 different amplifiers (not the same model number, aka a sony and a sundown)

This or if you wired one sub backwords, or if one sub is blown. Thats one advantage to seperate chambers, if you blow a sub you can still bump the other one. However doing multiple chambers becomes a real pain after you do more than 2 woofers.

I like to use separate chambers when i build a sealed box.

Im actually thinking of doing and spl comparison of 2 subs in one ported box vs 2 subs in separate ported boxes. maybe sometime this summer
