CCA (copper clad aluminum) worth getting? its pretty cheap. i can get 20 feet for about $40 for 0 gauge. im planning to use it on the big 3 and 1 run from the battery to the amps. and plus im low on money right now. i mean what would be the major differences with 100% copper/high quality wire and CCA wire? thank you.

Cca only flows like 2000 watts or something like that versus ofc which does 3000+ my number probably aren't exact but its that kind of difference. I recommend saving for 20ft of knu fleks. Its fairly cheap and great wire.

The knu KLMX wire is pretty good unless you are trying to pull over 260 amps, which is what the 1/0 is rated for.

well i got a hcca-d2400; it has 0 gauge inputs, and pulls 120 amps. but right now i only for 4 gauge.

If you're going to keep the amp, then you could use the CCA, you will not see a difference with that amp.

But if you are going to upgrade, then buy the 99.9% copper.(i know it's hard to keep on saving, but it's worth it.)

Thinking is the root of all problems...

Being 1200w i don't see it pulling over 120 amps.

So it doesn't really matters if you have CCA or pure copper.

The resistance is a bit more, but with that "low" wattage, CCA is good enough.

The 2 amps you're running aren't gonna pull that many amps, so the CCA knu wire is great for your application, but If you plan on upgrading soon I would get the OFC knu fleks because its rated at 300+ amps.

edit: with good voltage that amp is doing more than rated.
