BradlyLovesSpl Posted April 14, 2010 Report Posted April 14, 2010 what if you were to build a solar powerd system, like to help recharge batt's? http://www.amazon.com/Sunforce-39191-123-Watt-High-Efficiency-Polycrystalline/dp/B001NFTPYI/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=automotive&qid=1271227070&sr=1-1 as if this on your car's roof. sounds like a good idea to me, your batt will never be dead. EricM9104 Posted April 14, 2010 Report Posted April 14, 2010 One you linked wouldn't do much, most it'd do is be like a ~10a alt... Quote 2015 Honda Civic LX 4dr | 110k miles | Stock 1996 GMC Yukon SLT 4dr 4wd | 260k miles | JVC Head-unit
BradlyLovesSpl Posted April 14, 2010 Author Report Posted April 14, 2010 One you linked wouldn't do much, most it'd do is be like a ~10a alt... lol damn, im just sayin it would help your batt's recharge slowly when its parked so you will always have a sure start most the time. kirill007 Posted April 14, 2010 Report Posted April 14, 2010 One you linked wouldn't do much, most it'd do is be like a ~10a alt... Maximum power output: 123 Watts/7.16 Amps Lolz, don't think 1 should do anything, but it's a 10-pack of those.( so that's a 71.6 amp alt for only 9,999.99 dollars, i would say go for can't beat the price performance...) Colin - STAPUFT Posted April 14, 2010 Report Posted April 14, 2010 http://www.amazon.com/Wagan-2017-Solar-Battery-Charger/dp/B000VHT9GS I have also seen them at Harbor Freight for like $10-20 too. But.... they do like less than 1 amp. For fun, maybe- but until they get waaaay cheaper- totally impractical $$$ wise.
