audiogod9000
dashes are cake 3 or 4 screws iirc. The part he's talking about is where the HU is im sure, not the Whole! dash and on the jeeps around that year, didn't have screws to take off the HU dash, just 4 lil pins/clips that all you have to do is be careful and pull till it falls off. BulletInjection
I love the way my 2001 handles and drives. You don't remove the dash just pop off the vents and the area around the head unit, it is all one piece. Then 4 screws to pull the head unit out. Not much room back there though.... pain in the ass to place back in.... and Quote My build: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...8920&st=100 http://www.youtube.com/Bulletinjection
JEMT8
Shit I didn't even notice people posted in here. Lol. The part where the h/u goes is only held in by clips? Well that'll be easy. I just gotta save up on cash and sell my pitbike and then I can get the radio and wiring kit. And then the build will begin. midnite_bump
Yeah I switched the HUs in my 93 Cherokee and my brothers 96 Grand Cherokee in like 2 hours tops. Thats taking both apart, switching, splicing and connecting, then putting back together. Shouldn't be too hard. doug118
it actually looks like neither Quote 2001 Tahoe. JEMT8
Yeah. It actually looks like neither of those. But I took a gander at it more closely and it's just a for screws and a plate/panel pops off so it looks fairly easy. But anyways, I fucking love this Jeep. lol. I took it on a really shitty ass dirt road today and it was pretty fun. I did posi in the dirt (which I'm sure is nothing special) but going from a 93 ford escort to this, it's pretty cool.
