moisture. wet feet on the floor. try relocating the amp someplace dry or make a lil "amprack" under the seat to lift it off the carpeting

I have a amp that's mounted under my seat it started corroding at the screws then spread to bottom of the amp and I don't know what's cauing it. Could anyone give me some suggestions

could be dissimilar or bimetal corrosion. if you used cheap hardware or if the seat is steel and the amp is aluminum (likely) and you try to clamp them together, they will corrode. I'm in aviation and this is probably the biggest problem we have with corrosion

the amp is aluminum so that should be the problem thanks

Thats a negative its proply water or something thats leasking in there

aluminum shouldnet be that corroded

That's why they don't deliver.

Yer ass better go sit along the side of the road and wait.

You can't expect them to travel up some dirt road in a hick / back woods town. Thats how horror movies start :D

I explain things very simply and use analogies in terms of Pickles, and grape drink, pool noodles and jackhammers...if you can't put 2 and 2 together there man, There simply is not much more I can do.

This might be a long shot, but I have seen instances, not necessarily with car audio, but with 12v battery electronics, where corroding can occur like electroplating. If you amps ground is thru the chassis, and you amp is secured with screws to the chassis, then there could be some corroding or electroplating of some sorts going on at the contact point. I forgot the exact term that this is for, but when I was in college we did a lab that dealt with double grounds, and it can cause corroding.

take baby steps, u cant do it all at once unless u have a roll of 100's big enough to choke a donkey
