99vic Posted April 17, 2010 Report Posted April 17, 2010 im a retard!! i was unloading my rims. well one slipped out of my van as i was opening the rear. i guess it landed perfect on the edge of the curb and cracked the lip is it repairable? its not a big crack....maybe 1/4" or do any of the locals (sacramento area)know of a place i can take it too? cdawgstalon Posted April 17, 2010 Report Posted April 17, 2010 im pretty sure its repairable. you just need to find a welder and then grind it down. i had a cracked rim and it looked nasty. took it to he local welding shop and within 15 min, it was done. i felt real stupid cuz the shop i worked at was a welding shop, i just didnt want to bother them. it cost me $10 and it holds up great. i had it done in january and it gets real real cold in northern michigan and ive had no problem currently just running a JL 12W7 and RF BD 1001 soon to come soundstream XXX 18 Memphis mojo MCD4KW Big azz box in tha backseat working out other details
ktm300 Posted April 17, 2010 Report Posted April 17, 2010 There is a wheel repair shop in the arden area that does good work. I have used them before, welding is the only option. Don't try anything like glue or epoxy, its not worth a blow out on the fwy...

Thats what i had to do with one of mine. yea id rather just toss em, i got them because i found a place that would powdercoat them cheap. i was gonna use them till to get my 24s ordered.
