GORILLAslap Posted April 24, 2010 Report Posted April 24, 2010 my friend wants me to get him hooked up with a complete spl system, and i told him to get the aq2200 and i told him to get an aq sub, but he wants a dc lvl3 18,is that a good match?? starting fresh, chrysler 300.. no subs amp nothin I NEED HELP looking to purchase saz-1500d and 15" 1000rms subREFS- feedback/refs.. click!
vonhanson Posted April 25, 2010 Author Report Posted April 25, 2010 please make your own thread instead of highjacking mine! So i'd probably be better off going with a copper or alum if i get the 2200? from going my old system to this, it will be night and day difference, so i don't have to max that amp out at all really. 99' Ranger XLT Ex Cab Stepside 33'' Bfg M/ts on Black Steelies. CNF Kevosinn Posted April 25, 2010 Report Posted April 25, 2010 if you have clean power, and your not going to push the full 2200 for hours on end the copper is fine *** SuperSeller Status Verified *** ( http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/25829-super-sellers-buyers/ ) "kevosinn's" astro van 8 custom Sundown Zv4 18's 4 Sundown scv 6000's CNF Distribution CNC parts Skyhigh wire some batteries SMD Meters and tools used on the installhttp://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/172877-kevosinns-vanwest-coast-skyhigh-car-audio-vehicle/ 16,000 watt walled silverado build.http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/161965-walled-silverado-4-hdc4-15s-4-crescendo-3500s-and-much-more/ 8,000 watt 1999 Subaru legacy outback. mlstrass Posted April 26, 2010 Report Posted April 26, 2010 only potential issue I see is that a single 10" sub won't be loud enough, so you'll be playing full tilt for long periods and pushing the sub hard to get more out of it. In that case you might be better off with the alum coil as it'll take more abuse. Otherwise the copper is more efficient and will get louder off the 2200, but if the sub starts getting stinky you'll want to back off on the volume.

A LVL3 DC driver is NO WHERE NEAR the same as a HDC3 driver. That is like comparing a kicker CVR to a HDC3..... I love my staffie So anti FACEBOOK it isn't even funny
