vonhanson Posted April 26, 2010 Author Report Posted April 26, 2010 ha funny, cuz a kicker cvr is what i have, only 2 10's so a single hdc3 will be way better than what i have now, compaired to my random amp i have as well. so i'm not worried about how loud it will get, just if its a good combo for the price i'd pay. 99' Ranger XLT Ex Cab Stepside 33'' Bfg M/ts on Black Steelies. vonhanson Posted April 27, 2010 Author Report Posted April 27, 2010 cool, i'm pretty decided on the HDC3 10'' copper and the AQ2200 amp. for the sub i should get d2's so thats 4 ohms and that will wire down to 1 ohm at the amp correct? 99' Ranger XLT Ex Cab Stepside 33'' Bfg M/ts on Black Steelies. bmpolk20001 Posted April 27, 2010 Report Posted April 27, 2010 What is better? Two Orion hcca 12"s or 1 18" Kicker Solo X? I have the Orions now but I got a good deal on a 18" Solo X so I wanted to know if it was worth the change?

victor8881 Posted April 28, 2010 Report Posted April 28, 2010 please make your own thread instead of highjacking mine! So i'd probably be better off going with a copper or alum if i get the 2200? from going my old system to this, it will be night and day difference, so i don't have to max that amp out at all really. If your going to go with the 2200 over the 1200, and your still running your stock alternator, I'd suggest that you upgrade your alternator. This AQ2200 requires around 150amps to run efficiently, If your running the stock alternator this may be an issue. I was going to upgrade my 2610 BXi Hifonics amp, which is equal to the AQ1200, to the AQ2200 for my HDC3 cooper 15. However, I don't have 150amps, and have a brand new 2009 Nissan which I don't want to upgrade the alternator just yet. Good luck though.
