Some headunits are different, despite the fact that they are the same exact model number and everything. The numbers are good guidelines, but you never know until you put your equipment on an Oscilloscope. . Is the 9886 really only good up to 24???.... i have this headunit... what a piece of garbage.. I scoped my alpine 9886 that I've had in my suburban for over two years yesterday with a TPI scope plus 440 and it was clip free at 35/35 with flat settings at 1000hz and 40hz Then I turned my sub setting all the way up then bass all the way down and it's still clip free at full volume That was with a burned disc and +0db I'm gunna try putting it on my iPhone because I always use my iPhone for music 2014 Chevy Silverado Crewcab 1994 Chevy Full Size blazer Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
BanginOnABudget Posted December 24, 2010 Report Share Posted December 24, 2010 my Pioneer 6000ub clips at 47 out of IDFK lol, i think out of 60, with my amps all the way down thats still louder than listening volume, so im pretty happy. im taking out my passenger seat, battery is disconnected, going to unwire and take out the three amps, take out the 70+ lb box, then the platform so i can crimp 1 wire. Almost as bad as those fegs that put those horns in their grills and roll down the street distorting the block.... 1990 Jeep Cherokee 2 Dr. Big-3 in 0g on Stock Alt.
