Amp worked at first then it wouldn't turn on. Thought the amp was bad. Friend wanted the amp sold it to him for $20. he put it in his car and it worked. ended up buying it back for $100 a week later. Pissed me off but I fixed the ground after I realized it was that. Don't matter anymore now though I've did similar to him and made a nice $100 off a radio he sold me because he needed cash

9515ROB Posted February 26, 2012 Report Posted February 26, 2012 Walled off my mustang which ruined it and now its not worth sh1t anymore Ive had 2 fires in my trunk one because of a loose ground and the other because of a half ass distribution block i rigged up. Smoked 2 DD 9515s that were pretty much brand new, blown up quite a bit of subs and a DD Z2 But thats all part of the game i guess, Cant get loud by not fucking shit up - 1998 Ford Mustang - Time to rebuild. 4 15s and alot of power TEAM DTF

Cutting off the entire wiring harness and running wire-wire. Yuck. I didn't know ANYTHING about car audio, but my uncles all had VERY loud, professionally installed cars, so I just wanted to show them I could do it without them. MISTAKE. Anyway, they ran my power wire outside the car. Yes, I mean they ran the power wire out the hood and through the gap between the door and the fender...on the outside. When my uncle saw it, he almost killed me. third mistake was getting rid of this.... art series ppi amp. Lol I have that PPI amp, it has a burnt channel though, but I have one. =) Hmm, Lol I am running a wire through my door xD..but I'm going to put it through the firewall when I get my new amplifier for my interior speakers =P New build coming soon. Quiet Posted February 27, 2012 Report Posted February 27, 2012 Before I joined SMD I used a cheap line-out converter to connect my amp and subs to the factory HU, sent clipping signal to my subs. They would smoke at moderate volume. Sold the subs for $60 to some guy off CL, I warned him they weren't in the best condition and practically forced him to hear them first. Next day he sends me an angry email. Fuckhead. After I joined here, I built a box for a 15" RF Punch 1... 3.3 cubes@29hz, so I'd be able to swap out to something in the future like a lvl 4 or HDC, but only had 20 sq in of port. Hell you can see it in my log, see my sig. 2007 Pacifica Rebuild. Less quiet. Still not loud.
