OP, you need more power. And I bet you that your peak is way, way higher. Like 50s, maybe 60s. With that wall there you're gonna have a tiny cabin and a very short distance to the meter.

Next time do a sine sweep and see what frequency gives you the highest number, that is probably your problem, especially if you think it is satisfyingly loud. Low Hz = Low #s

DJ only says that cause he doesnt know everyones skill level or testing equipment. Jeff puts 1500 or more to his DD 2500's (ideally the same sub, 2.5" coil ) Steve Milton says his subs shouldnt survive period ....you honestly need more power IMO

Doubling your power gives you a theoretical 3 db gain. its not going to hold true. Id expect to see a full db to 2 though.

i agree and say more like 1.5 total gain is realistic.

i just dont understand what the next level is for me then. I want to get louder but piss on making a new wall, i needa run more power i agree, but 2 things:

1. no way in hell are they going to take a pair of sdc's to an aq 2200, thats outta the question for me.

2. 1.5 db gain seems not worth the $1400, i figured it would be hella-louder(to the ear) going with twice the power and beefier woofers.
