i've used rubbing alcohol to loosen it up before, but it will not eat all of the way through it.

acetone is said to work best, but acetone can be pretty nasty to your item

Wow, I'm surprised that CA glue can't be removed by solvent... We used to worship that stuff at work. It would remove 50 year old ink stains!

i've used rubbing alcohol to loosen it up before, but it will not eat all of the way through it.

ZOMG! Sagging spider!

100_4984.jpg

Real nice terminals though.

100_4985.jpg

Took me a good 20 minutes to cut the dust cap off without damage!

100_4986.jpg

But WTF is wrong with the former?!?

100_4988.jpg

Whacking some more ugly chrome off.

100_4989.jpg

Now for the surround, luckily the glue is rubbish.

100_4990.jpg

And the nice terminals.

100_4991.jpg

Mint condition coil!?! WTF?!?

100_4994.jpg

You can see the screw holes for the spider. I was lucky with this one!

100_4995.jpg

Reasonable basket.
