Boon Posted May 5, 2010 Report Posted May 5, 2010 Batteries are dumb. They don't know where they are in the car, or how long the wire connecting them to each other is. If you have 2 identical batteries in a car, say 1 under the hood and one in the trunk. You hook up a SAZ-3500D at 0.5 ohms - let's say this thing pulls 500A at full tilt. It's hooked up to the rear battery with a 2ft long piece of 0ga. All good. You run a piece of 4 gauge from the front battery to the back. When you wang on it, you'll pull 250A off each battery. They share the load equally. So you'll be pulling 250A through a single run of 4 gauge - not good. 10.x volts fo' life!
EricR Posted May 5, 2010 Report Posted May 5, 2010 I'm assuming the IDK in your name stands for I Don't Know. Because man, you sure as shit don't know what you're talking about. Lol. Hit the nail on the head. i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work?
