97SSBlazer
if its not a dual 4 ohm sub then there is nothing u can do but buy a different sub with the impedance you need, or add another single 4 ohm sub in to the setup...which you said you didnt want to do. oh, there is another option, which is buy an amp that puts ou the power you need at 4 ohms. Pretty much your ONLY options Quote lower tuning is just hard. I was surprised how loud 145 sounds at 35hz, and how quiet 145 sounds at 50hz. -= 2005 Tahoe LT =-Head unit: Pioneer AVH-X5500BHSSource: iPad Mini in dash Subs: 2 T1 12's Sub Amp: T1500-1bdCPWire: Rockford Fosgate 1/0 awgSignal Cable: MonsterFronts:Stock Bose for now:)Rears: Stock Bose for now:)MIds/High amp: Stock Bose for now:) 2005 Tahoe Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/172529-2005-tahoe-my-17th-vehicle/ 2001 Monte Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/160030-2001-monte-carlo-my-16th-car-lol/page-2#entry25309381997 Tahoe Build Log: http://www.stevemead...oe-6-15-rf-15s/2001 Impala Build Log: http://www.stevemead...katzkin-inside/

HHR Ed
A resistor wont work for 3 main reason. #1, resistors in parallel to a speaker would share the power from the amp. So creating a 2ohm load could double power from your amp, but half that power would go to the resistor. So its pointless. #2, A resistor is a fixed load, a speaker is a reactive load. So during music playing the stress and heat would be much higher. #3, Resistors that can handle that kind of power are rare and expensive. bassl0va
Just get a better amp, one that is 1ohm stable, that way you can upgrade subs and use the same amp later on, and still have a amp that will work great with the sub you have at the moment.
