Vinnyhimself
ok so i plan on having one aq 2200d so i wanted to see what my current electrical system sat. i went to auto zone and he hooked up the machine to my battery. the volts were sitting ~13.5v idle and total amps was 250 and change. this is all before a big 3 upgrade. should this be good ? Maxim
What are you wiring it at? If you're gonna run it a 1 ohm, you'll need some upgrades, but it should be fine if it's at 2 or 4 as long as you do the Big 3. Maybe an extra battery if you start dimming a little. Quote wtf is lolcats? I'd def get a fat hooker if i had to resort to that kinda thing. I feel like they'd be grateful and work harder. Also its more bang for my buck, more real estate for my dollar if you catch my drift. its like the Costco of streetwalkers. I was hoping for 150 . I was hoping she would let me put it in her butt

Neo_frog
You'll be fine with either stock electrical or your plan to add the small back battery. No need to go balls out on power running only 2500 watts. You'll have 20 people come on here and tell you to upgrade alts and batteries, but it's unnecessary. Quote Need an install? MECHMAN
A true 2500 watt class D amp at full volume will draw roughly 200 amps by itself. The vehicle needs 40 - 60 amps just to run factory accessories. At full tilt, your voltage will eventually fall in the dirt. Obviously, if you don't turn it up that loud, you could be OK. If you want to justify an electrical upgrade, just turn the system up and let it jam for a few minutes, and watch your battery voltage with a handheld voltmeter, it will easily drop into the 10 volt range on bass hits with a stock alt and battery. At the very least, I would add a D925 in the rear next to the amplifier. Quote 1-888-MECHMAN www.Mechman.com [email protected]
