Say my sub-woofer's fs =31 hz do i tune the box th 31 hz? it usually depends on what type of music you listen to, or whether you compete in SPL Quote On 5/8/2011 at 7:38 PM, Kranny said: On 5/8/2011 at 7:35 PM, 'Maxim' said: It hurts me inside when I read stuff like this and remember you're 15 LMFAO so true Mitsubishi 3000GT (Old Build) Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: (2) McLaren Audio MLT-2 Tweeters & (4) PRV Audio MR Series Neo 6.5" Mids Substage: 4 15" Hybrid Subs - Tantric Motors & Sundown Softies Amps: Banda 2.4D Amp (Tweets), American Bass VFL 350.4 (Mids), and (2) Ampere 3800s Electrical :Singer 260A Alt & JY Power Lithium 2005 Chevy Colorado Ext Cab Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: 4 PRV 700Ti Tweets & 6 10" Delta Mids on 3000wrms Substage: 6 Fi BTL 18s in a 4th Order Walkthrough on 3 Wolfram 4500s Electrical: Singer "390" and JY Power My Official Feedback Thread

Say my sub-woofer's fs =31 hz do i tune the box th 31 hz? most of the time it depends on what type of music you listen to....you could tune your enclosure below or above the fs depending on what your taste in bass is... JMZNeal
mine is 45hz but i listen to everything. Rock, country, rap, techno.. what ever. it's pretty loud and gets pretty low but i'm going to redo the box at 40hz and see if i like it anybetter or worse. What's the deal with more or less cubes in the box? That's my hangup. Is bigger better or more effcient or smaller more punchy. Sorry if i'm thread jacking but maybe it'll help Vinny out some too. fecupe2001
Well, it also depends on the box size, if it´s a veryyyy small box, even tuning @ 25 hz you wouldn´t hit the lows like a big box, take that into account; But yes, depends on your music likes most of the time, i always tune around 43 hz because i love to hear all kind of music, but, i´m gonna tune @ 33 hz my swift because i wanna hit the lows stronger now Quote I´m the SPL Gains topic creator!! wanna get louder?? check this: SPL Gains.
