that 52x4 for headunits is max power which means nothing in the real world.

honestly you can get a rockford fosgate 200a4 or 400a4 (produced in 1999-2001) for as much or cheaper than the Dual 4 channel amp. i have a 200a4 powering infinity 4's in the doors and 6.5" mb quart's in the rear deck (also in a 94 corolla) and it sounds amazing as hell.

if i recall correctly the 200a4's can do like 300rms total. which is a good clean ~70wrms per channel

Thanks, I did a quick search, they seem to be going for around 90-100$, but then having it shipped to me a trying to find it is gonna suck. With the amp above, its 20$ more, its there/new, and its free shipping so I think I might stick to it. I mean I think that it has the power I need for my system. I dont plan on expanding it ever so I should be good.

Is the setup over all okay then?

That was my plan when getting the 8inch, but im looking for a 10 inch now.

I'm gonna give crutchfield a call tomorrow and ask one of there reps about the setup. I'm sure they can tell me if it's good or if changes need to be made.

If anyone has advice on the setup I just posted, please tell me what u think.

So Ive been looking around, and even checking site reviews. The site above "dealer cost direct whatever" got terrible reviews, like 2/10's. So I'mma stick to crutchfield but they also charge a little more so this effects my budget. So I've decided to go with a 10 inch woofer but a 4 channel amp instead. This is the new setup I'm looking at. What do you think? It seems to be as good as I can go.

For the amp:

I'd give 2 channels to the front speakers, one for each. Run the rear speakers off the head unit. And then bridge the 2 other channels to run the sub at 4 ohms.

Am I right in thinking I can bridge this amp and run it at 4 ohms connected to that sub safely?

Crutchfield is expensive.Take a look at Audiosavings.com

They have a forum here at smd, I'm sure they will be glad to help you.

Try to find a 4 ch amp that can give you about 4 x 100 watts rms. It will be able to give you 1 x 400 watts at 2 ohms for a sub : on the cheap (and still good) you can have a Kicker sub, or an Alpine type R with no problem.

Remember, you don't need to give a sub all the watts he can receive to have a loud bass. The enclosure is VERY important.

OMG!!! So I took someone advice and went to walmart to look at their amp kit. I see they have a wall of car audio equip. so I take a look.

They have the exact same dual amp I want for 90$ instead of 120. They have a scosche 10inch sealed box which I considered getting before for 10$ less. They have an scosche amp kit with basically everything I need that is 20$ less and instead of being an 8g its a 6g. So I'm gonna buy most of my parts there besides the sub.

What do you guys think os scosche? I hear ppl talk down on the RCA cables but for my system would it work?

They also have a pioneer tsw252r sub for like 50$. I think I will get this instead of the fosgate which is 70$ and then shipping.

I'm not rly a fan of ebay. I mean I'd make it a last resort for the price.

What do you guys think about the scosche 6g amp kit? Would you use it for my setup? I here people say it has bad RCA's and someones the wire size is off but idk. What do you think?

for the power your doing will be fine.in the gff car i have the walmart 4g kit in there 1 amp pushing a single 12 and does fine
