bullshit

what? Everything I said or the mileage I posted? It is true and I've actually read a few articles on it. It really isn't a huge difference. Yes it would mean more trips to the gas station but I stop everyday anyways for coffee and smokes so it's not out of the way. Even if it's as little as 1mpg extra that could be a extra 20miles a tank or so which is a gallon of gas which is a pack of smokes for me. I go through 2 full tanks of gas a week and usually do fill up all the time but I've seen and heard everyway cheap people are trying to save a buck.

Not pissy LOL, just like to get my point across, its all these backyard mechanics, with there stuff they heard from there pop/friend/etc..... I just like to educate people, have you ever heard anyone tell you to disconnect you battery with the car running to check if your alt is working right.....ya not a good idea.

If you mean the W as in say 15w40, the w does mean winter/winter-grade. That is according to API (american petroleum institute), and SAE (society of automotive engineers).

SAE Viscosity Grade

The low-temperature viscosity (the first number, 5W in a 5W-30 oil) indicates how quickly an engine will crank in winter and how well the oil will flow to lubricate critical engine parts at low temperatures. The lower the number the more easily the engine will start in cold weather.

That's from API's website. Sorry i had to correct man.

Ever notice how it seems you go from a full tank to half tank in no time but a half tank to E seems to last forever?

Both my cars do the opposite. They stay at or near full longer, and then drop at a faster rate. I've heard companies do this on purpose to make it seem like your gas tank stays fuller longer. Not sure how true it is, but it definitely happens (especially on my 06 Rainier).

ooh wow! what a come back!

I just didn't want him to compare people not knowing what octane rating means to what the "w" in oil

viscosity ratings mean when he himself was wrong about the w. lol
