bobonit
But does it matter which coils? Like if I were to switch the amps neg to the OTHER neg on the sub. would that be fine? is that the same thing? Ok, just to be clear... You have 2 Positive terminals and 2 Negative Terminals on your sub. They should ALL be hooked up. 97 Maxima SE Bunch of shit going in, check out the build Build Log

TLEJ
Alright guys, I've set the gains using that chart http://i53.photobucket.com/albums/g42/Krannyman92/rmschartpm5.jpg and everything with the test CD and all. Now I'm pretty sure I did it right, but let me get this correct. I've got a 4ohm DVC sub... wired like this : My amp can do.. 4 ohms 1x200 RMS 2 ohms 1x400 RMS 1 ohms 1x600 RMS.. My sub is a 500RMS sub. What should I be doing.. And was I suppose to have EVERYTHING down on the amp aswell? All the filters on it? Rockbrook
well idk i may be wrong but you have your sub wired @ 2 ohms and if you set everything correctly like you say, then it may as well be MDF dust.
TLEJ
I do have it all correct now, and yes, it was a 2 ohm load. Meaning, 400 watts, and 2 ohms, was a 28.28 voltage. But I acheived that.. in a weird way with the DMM.. I like turned EVERYTHING DOWN on the amp.. then turned the gain up just a LITTLE.. and got like 20 volts.. then turned the rest of the filters VERY little until it got too 28.28.. So yea.. Whatever I guess.. EDIT: So they don't hit hard at ALLLL noww...
Ndnkobra
EDIT: So they don't hit hard at ALLLL noww... That's greatly box dependent, I read that you're running a sealed box. If you want them to hit harder, ported is your friend. Or you can go for a bigger sealed box
