new front battery deep cycle or starting

so i was looking into buying an xs power battery and i was wondering

what i should get

a deep cycle battery or a starting battery.

The D and the S series XS power batts are EXACTLY the same internally. The only difference is that the "S" batteries come with a steel shell to prevent swelling when used in a hot engine compartment. I have used D series batts under the hood with no swelling problems whatsoever, and they are a little cheaper.

I talked to irragi on the phone one, i dont remember who it was, who ever it was told me to just run a regular acid battery instead of my optima as a starting battery, then have a dedicated car audio battery in the rear like a kinetic or xs power.

i doubt Dom would have lied to you like that. you need to get rid of that wet cell "acid" battery

run a deep cycle for your front battery, and more deep cycles or AGMs in the rear (if you choose to)
