sdg0080
i used the factory specs for my two that i shoe horned into my mustang. im really impressed with them. i had to stick with what alpine recomended because of space limitations. i had to build two seperate boxes so i could get them in the trunk. i have to say its very nice. i thought the port area was a bit small but im not getting any port noise off of either of them. boomin
where are you located OP? i would feed it about 750 RMS, just make sure its clean power not clipped. 1000 may be overkill unless its just for burps or 30 seconds of music, not all day bumping. Jared420
I got 4 15s on a clif design 4800.1 at .5 ohms so It should be pushin around 5000 rms after rise and everything but they are taking around 1200-1300 each daily. keep the power clean though These four subs on half the power got smelly because the gain was too high and the signal was clipped. The 15 can handle slightly more than the 12s can I believe but as long as the powers clean you should be able to give it 1000 Quote 2012 silverado ext cab ltz 24" kmc rims AudioQue 2200 Pioneer AppRadio Alpine mrx f35 4 channel Bose mids and highs Iraggi Alt + stock alt in a DC power dual alternator kit Yellowtop+stock under hood 0 gauge Knu wire Big 3 4 gauge stinger (4 chan wiring) 3 DC 10'' LVL3 with LVL4 parts
CheezyMane13
I know mine are Type R 15"s, but I am feeding them 750w RMS (there spec'd amount) at the low end. That's only when my amp is running at 12.5V, usually my amps run at 13.3V+, so they are easily seeing 100W RMS more then recommended. jazz5000
I ordered the alpine m500 Its 500rms at 2ohms, so it matches with the sub perfectly. I didnt want to over power the subs.
