I was planning on posting this before opening the thread. I'be ran the 1610d and am currently running the 2010d @ 1-ohm. Not a single complaint in the past two years. tejcurrent Posted June 10, 2010 Report Posted June 10, 2010 I ran bxi-2006d's with no problems. They didn't like .5 ohm loads at all, but 1 ohm I never had an issue. My brother let his drop down around 9.5-10 volts and just had it protect after a dozen burps. Not the best amps in the world, but a good buy for the money. The 2610 would be a step up and should be enough if this is your first higher powered setup. Unless you plan to compete often you'd be hard pressed to hear any difference between 2000 and 2500 watts anyway. But your wallet would feel the 4-500 dollar difference between the RF 2500 and the Bxi-2610. Before someone busts my balls I'm not saying anything negative about the RF amps, but in your application it sounds like you'd be better off with the extra cash in your pocket. Always hate to hear when someones stuff gets jacked, but at least it's leading to a system upgrade . tejcurrent XS Power T3

I ran mine on Memphis 4kw's, never had an issue. I also put an American bass 1000.1 on 2 and they didn't like that so much for daily. Probably an enclosure issue at that point too. I had the dustcap blow off one more than once, though it never had any other problems and a little epoxy had it like new again. Once you get over double the rms it really takes experience to know what you can do to/with the equipment without damaging it. Anyone can buy a huge amp and a btl, but I've seen more than one BTL blow on a sundown 3000 @ 1 ohm. tejcurrent XS Power T3

A lot of people have had problems with the DAT 2500s burning up, but I do not have personal experience with them. I'd recommend a rf 2500, DD M4 or M3a. Pretty much any amp that can put out a ton of clean power should do fine. Just do some research there is a bunch. You don´t know shit!! I clamped my 2610D 930 rms @ 4 ohms and 1790 watts @ 2.1 ohms i think it was, besides that, i had a 2608D and it´s still playing like brand new on a buddy of mine who bought it from me, you failed!!! About the thread, the SS 4000.1 it´s very nice for the price, but 16v specs sucks a little bit, you could try a memphis maybe? I previously had a Memphis 1000w Mojo 12", matched with a Memphis 1000w amp. I was always planning on replacing that system with a BTL, but just never did. It is now gone, and I have the money to buy a new one. When I have my local audio place setup a box for me, what should it be tuned at? Or should I just let them deal with it? So the BXI2610 Amp should be fine for the BTL Correct?
