The Jeep : 4th Order No-Wall Build

Recommended Posts

CIMG3828.JPG

* Floor installed... checked with a level.

CIMG3829.JPG

* SAX-125.2 under this side (midbass)

CIMG3830.JPG

* SAX-50.4 under this side (midrange and tweeters)

I will eventually build a cover for this lower area as that should help increase SPL.

My old dual 15 box that I got up to 155.9 dB was made primarily with Aruco ply **... and a few other random boxes. Based on the research I've done I will keep using it since it is a better solution than the Cabinet Grade birch available at Lowes and cheaper.

** - Here is a pic of it... kerf and one baffle layer were MDF, the rest was Aruco :

Looks like a good build.

lower tuning is just hard. I was surprised how loud 145 sounds at 35hz, and how quiet 145 sounds at 50hz.
