what size speaker wire to use to power a 15" btl

i just got my box built and my installer threw in some 12awg spearker wire for the sub. just want to know should i run the 12awg or get some 8awg wire to power the btl?

you will be fine with 12 awg, if you want to put larger wire on it go for it can't hurt but it's not needed.

12 will be perfectly fine

8 is overkill for pretty much everything

Considering the wire that they threw in is small (I've personally seen wire. I might upgrade to a better 12g or even just go to 8g since you have to upgrade. Or just do double runs from the amp to sub

take baby steps, u cant do it all at once unless u have a roll of 100's big enough to choke a donkey
