what's a better ground?

just wanted to know what would be a better ground either to hook up your neg wire to your chasis in the trunk? or to run it from your amp to the front main battery? just a lil short on money and wanted to know the best way to hook up my ground. any suggestions?

Well, if you run a ground along with the power wire, you might lose like 3 feet of wire all together (keep in mind that the body of the car is like having a 50/0 gauge wire from the battery all the way up to your grounding point), but it's not really worth it when it's cheaper to just bolt it to the body. You might gain like 30 watts rms running a separate negative wire, not much of a big deal really. I'd say instead of buying 20 or more feet of wire to run a direct ground, use that same wire to do the big 3. A beefier grounding strap from battery to body and from block to body and from alternator positive to battery positive will help more in getting more power through your wires. Plus you'll have it taken care of in case of future electrical upgrades (IE: alternator, battery) just my .02

First time I heard that ^ but if you get the money to ground it to the front ground it to the alternators ground!! If not then chassis is fine

Run ground with your positive, seeing that I will being doing your wiring, it will save on cost of labor, and shipping of the wire. Also It will be esier to do it all at once, because you wont need to tear your car apart again to run the ground.

Plus you will loose more then 30RMS. I did the calculation and it could be up to 100+RMS for his car, depending where he grounded it at. You have to take into account all the paint and other things that are directly attached to the chassis pulling from it. Such as all your lights, Some gauges are in some cars. And other accessories.

i mostly listen to rap, but i think my box is tuned a lil high (38hz) so i was gone get the sound stream processor to tune it to hit da lows!!!!
