AkPride Posted June 17, 2010 Report Share Posted June 17, 2010 Alright well I will try to explain this the best I can, I recently bought a T3k, every looked great sounded great for about 2hours or so, now when I turn up the volume and it starts to hit a good note the protect light comes on, I have no clue why. I have all 1/0 gauge wiring to it from my battery bank-to the Fuse block- to the amp- my current setup alpine 117 2 Yellow Tops 4 Custom dual 2 12s current amp on the subs is a Rockford Fosgate T3000. The Protect light only comes on when the amp start to hit hard, its like going to the stripp club and seeing all the pussy in your face and cant touch, this is like almost hearing that 1 good note you wanna hear then the protect light comes on...... please any help or feedback or ideas!!! 4 15'' Big Perm Subs in a Custom Built Box. 4 Kenwood Excelerion Mids. 1 RockFordFosgate T4000.Bd 1 Alpine 500w. redbaron80 Posted June 17, 2010 Report Share Posted June 17, 2010 That should not happen. I had my T3000s down to 10 volts and the protect light never came on. (I do not recommend running the amp below 12 volts for any reason) You can always send it to RF and have them run a diagnostic. Their repair department is the best I have ever seen.
