AliveDaft
Title says it all. Going for SPL, but also using as a daily. Looking to us DC subs. So, 3 15's or 2 18's? Hotdog
Cone area is to close to really make a difference... All depends on the box you build really you could go either way. I would go 2 18's my self Quote (NEW) 2004 F-150 Build Log -->http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/192208-hotdogs-f-150-build-log/ 2003 Mercury Mountaineer Build Log --> http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/114380-hotdogs-2003-mountaineer-build-log-20-removed/page__gopid__1602379#entry1602379 2008 Equinox Build Log --> http://www.stevemead...g/#entry1475764
corona_jeff
depends if you compete or not. Which class you choose is a factor.
thebiggmann12
are they gonna be the same dc series? like either lvl 4 15s or lvl 4 18s? if so id go with 3 15s over 2 18s...more motor force while not loosing much cone area.

fritosaregood
Ive had this same decision recently, ive decided on 3 15s to keep it under the window line, and i also end up with a little more cone area, more motors, and more coils. With 3 15s you win in all around except for some funky ohm loads. but i got that part all figured out. 1.5 strapped daily, .66 strapped for comps. AliveDaft
doing a wall? 3 18s .. it should fit.. or 4 18s sealed would be nasty! Yeah, I don't think that'd fit... Lol. Unless I had a great design. It's a really small car. 1999 Hyundai Accent Hatchback. I have 2 15's walled in there now, and there's a little bit more room to fit some more. JBurt09
If you have room for 2 18s, I'd go with 4 15s.
