OrenB217
Hi everyone, i was messin with my sundown saz 2k today, just wanted to know what is the subsonic and where to set it at (range from 10 hz to 60 hz)and where to set low pass filter on it (ranges from 35 hz to 300 hz) to achieve the best sound out of the subs. I got the phase and bass boost at 0, like always. My setup is 2 hdc3 12s tuned to 35 hz. Thanks! kirill007
Subsonic to about 30hz, and LP to about 60-8O, but setting the LP depends on the install. Thinking is the root of all problems... You ALWAYS get what you pay for.
chapo123
yeah subsonic like 30hz and lpf at like 80. Steve I don't know why but everytime I see your new paint I want a Dr. Pepper...... is this normal? heres an analogy for you. running a high power stereo without a fuse is like having unprotected sex with that hot chick at the bar with the sketchy sexual history. Sure you may be fine and nothing happens but that one time something does happen you're fucked. i dont want woofer broke like bass sound clip clip and voice coil overheat 2 sa12s, saz1500 build log http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/91183-chapo123s-sundown-build-log/page__gopid__1250604entry1250604

wL<3bass
Subsonic should be 5-10hz below your enclosure tuning, and I like my lpf set to about 60hz. or you can be a beast like me and run no subsonic Vehicle: 1997 S10 Blazer 4dr 4X4 Exterior: Rear End Bagged, Black Grill, Lifted 2" Amplifiers: Rockford Fosgate T8004 & T10001bd Batteries: 2 Stinger SPV35, Kinetik HC2400 Electrical: Big 3, DC Power 290amp Alternator w/ MLA at 15.5v Enclosure: 4.2 ft³ @ 33Hz 84sq.in. of port (20sq.in. per cube) Headunit: Eclipse CD3200 w/ 80G iPod Mids/Highs: Rockford T152s (a-pillars), Rockford T162s (doors) Subwoofers: 1 15" Fi BL Fully Loaded Wire: All 1/0g Kicker Hyperflex My YouTube Videos My Fiberglass A-Pillar Build My "Seamless" Looking Box Build My DD1508 T-Line Bandpass Build "Seamless" w/ Acrylic Windows (for '05 TrailBlazer) My Stealth 8" Fiberglass Build (for '05 TrailBlazer) My Build For A Friend's '08 Cobalt 15" BL Sealed Off From The Trunk My feedback/references... Never recommend anyone ( yes, even pro's XD) to run without subsonic. And if u want to keep you're subs alive for a long period, i would suggest to not put subsonic more then 5hz below tuning. omg, 1000'th post. :yahoo: Thinking is the root of all problems... OrenB217
Where the black dots are is where i set them. Is there a more accurate way of doing it, say by using a dmm for example, or did i do just fine?
