blackink
Hey I was wondering what you guys think about on the usefulness of 1.4 ohm dvc subwoofers in my application. It's a DC level 4 xl and I'm going to hook it up to a saz 1500d at .7 ohms. Do you think this is overkill with a stock alt, big 3, and 2 dekas? Forevrbumpn
Alot of people dont understand odd impedances like this, there is a reason for it actually If you heard of impedance rise, and understand it, then you may understand how a 1.4ohm sub can be used on a 2ohm amp, usually, especially based on box design But yeah even that 0.7ohm, the amp may never even see 1ohms, unless you build the box small as hell Quote I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy. E a r t h
its actually a D2 sub. so if wired in parallel, you will be at a 1 ohm load. the number you were refering to was the direct coil resistence as measured per DMM. not the nominal impedance of the sub, which is the number you need to worry about. bassl0va
Yeah but obviously this guy didn't ask for them...that's my point He could have bought it second hand or something like that. DC wouldn't give someone something they didn't ask for.
