Now this might be a silly observation on my part but if you do add the top and the port is behind all 4 subs, when you cap the top isn't that just going to be an extension of the port and lower your tuning by a grip?

"Capping" the tunnel does "technically" extend the vent length, but with a cut that small, id say you will still be ok.

Typically small cuts yield higher freq. response. long tunnels help it get down low.

The xxx truck had a 5 foot tunnel and a large cut and wanted to drop to 17hz.

There is nothing wrong with tuning down low as long as the woofer still wants to play up high. IE: correct volume, woofer location to the vent, etc.

For a first one it looks just fine chode.

I think your next one will show everything you are about to learn with this one.
