KushSmokinSerg
I am thinking of making a new box, a bigger one, and tuned lower, and also wiring down the speakers to half ohm from 2 ohm. Is this safe? What kind of amp should I get? thanks for the help in advance, im just looking for ways to improve my system. -Serg Quote Two Kicker L5 12's Alpine IDA-x305 (I have no use for pandora or the 305 s) Kenwood Graphic Equalizer 1000 watt Hifonics Brutus D Class Mono and a Capacitor that ain't worth shit. sayhuh?
.5 ohm depends on your amp, electrical etc. I would shoot for 2 ohm when you are looking for the amp. Hifonics makes a good amp at a good price. Edited July 25, 2010 by sayhuh? Quote Blown
keepinitloud
no problem for subs just the amp cause there is not many amps that can play daily on half an ohm and you need good electrical to handle the current draw the amp will require I'd suggest staying at 2 ohms or 1 what are the subs dual 4 or 2 Quote 06 chrysler 300C Hemi one mmatts dreadnaut 15 powered by a planet audio vx 2200d fosgate p200 running planet audio 8" midbass drivers and super compression tweeters stock battery and a stinger spv44 Irragi 300 amp alternator big 3 1/0 http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/55075-system-in-my-300c/page__view__findpost__p__763656__fromsearch__1
