Eric, thanks. Nismo, no problem. In the sound room those sounded amazing compared to the others on display- I'll post up pics of the install though. I'm kinda fishing for comments about if it would be worth it to fiberglass or not?

How many sets of those comps do you have? Please tell me you're running at 4 sets. I bet with those BTLs you wouldnt even be able to hear em unless you have a good 800rms or so on the mids.

I plan on putting 2 sets up front and a set in back, with about 100 rms per speaker (so maybe 600rms.) I almost never listen to it cranked up all the way- mainly at shows and if someone wants to hear it. My main goal is for it to sound good at a normal/loudish listening volume, not 150+db. ;)

So I installed the speakers yesterday- they sound awesome. I was using the factory wiring, which I found out was forcing the ouput to go through a factory amp before going to the doors (and I was using an eclipse 4ch as well). The factory amp actually filters out lower frequencies, so in combination of bypassing it and upgrading to 12g wire straight to the doors that in itself helped a lot.

I'll put up a few more pics later (I'm sick right now) but the x-over is enormous, and the speaker is very beefy.

The tweeters sound great, crisp and crystal clear without being too sharp. 10khz and up sounds very defined and clean- certain chimes in A Perfect Circle- 13th step are very distict and pleasing.

The mids sound great too- I can finally hear the guitars clearly when I listen to rock like devildriver, thrice, tool and such. The single set keeps up with the bass on rock farily well, but on rap I will surely need to install a 2nd set (and a 3rd in back). Overall a huge improvement, they get much louder and cleaner than the cdts I had on the same amp. I'd say probably my favorite set I've had so far, I'm very pleased, and again the price was right. When I start on the wifes car I might look for a set of these for her because they seem to sound great on everything.

Nismo- I know you wanted to hear about these and I hope this helps- let me know if there's anything I left out you want to know.
