Radio install 06 civic si (NEVER AGAIN)

so my dask kit came in the other day so after work i figured i would install it. i started at 1145pm. and i didnt get done till 5 am. i was not planning on it taking that long. anyway, now thats its all said and done. heres some pics =]

yeah, those are a blast. Imagine working at a shop having to do one. Some of these smart ass kids think 45.00 is too much. How do you feel about that. $45 or 5 hours work if you haven't done one before. Glad you got it done, though.

what happened to the good ol days when all you had to do was unscrew a few screws and the radio pops out? haha without taking apart the whole dash.

haha well taking the dash apart wasnt really the time consuming part. im cheap and didnt wana buy the harness to adapt the stock radio conections to my new radio. so i just did it the old school way and cut each wire one by one and just sodered the right ones together. and of course i couldent find the correct scamatics online for it so i had to do it by trial and error. and its not like i could look at the color wires going to each speaker beacuse there is a stock amp in the car and the wires going to the speakers are a different color then the ones going to the stock amp. ha. so thats what screwed me on time. ha but yeah im sure if i did this everyday i would be much faster.
