Audioque AQ3500d.1 amp

Hello everybody,

Im looking to get a new amp to power my 12" Kicker SoloX i own. I will be replacing a Precision Power PC2350 amp and i was recommended an Audio AQ3500 d.1 from a few users on this forum. My question is for those who own this amp....

1.) Is this amp really great sounding?

2.) What size batt and alt do you have for running this beast?

3.) What did you hook the speaker up to (resistance level)? (NOTE: my kicker solox is a dual 4 ohm coil so i can only drop it as low as 2 ohms in parallel)

1. YES this amp puts out a very clean power

2. I have 2 of these amps with 4 XS Power D1400s and a DC Power 350XP Alt

3. I have mine strapped to 1.4 ohm so that equates to .7 per amp. At 2 ohm that sub will most likely be begging for more power. see if you can get a recone of dual 2 ohm or dual 1.4

Ok. Thanks for the reply. But since the woofer handles 2500 rms and the amp puts out 2600 at 14.4v it should be a decent match right?

Hell the amp i have now is bridged to 1400 watts and the woofer sounds great but its not loud enough for my preference, and plus i want to feed the woofer the most it can and not really make it exceed its rms (although im sure it will) but im not doing sound comps too much, more like music on a daily basis at very very loud levels.

you gotta factor in power loss through the lines, impedance rise and much more so you may want to get the coils changed over to a lower impedance...its better to have too much power and back down than try to make up for power by cranking the gains. much easier on the amp and more efficient on your electrical system. also you gotta make sure the box is right to handle that kind of power and wont hurt the sub if its tuned too high to cause bottoming out

I don't have the aq3500.. but I do have two of the aq2200s..and they are at 1/2 ohm. Each...I have a extra battery on each amp and a extra 240 amp alt just for the subs...and these amps do well..no troubles. ..very good amp for the price

Get a kicker 2500.1, it does rated power at 2 ohms (what u need), and is a BEAST of an amp. But if your looking to upgrade in the future, get the AQ
