High End Component recommendations?

Dont do anything from a company that does SPL.

Wat.

DD Germans sound pretty good, the midbass is very good, the tweeter didn't suit my tastes - too clinical, no warmth - but was still pretty decent.

High end speakers I've heard and liked, a lot: DLS, Rainbow, and Arvus. But if you can find Arvus in the states, you're doing well ;)

DLS = www.dls.se

Their Ultimate and Germanica or whatever it's called (Gothica, Nordica, Scandinavia?) series are bloody good.

Super warm sound, can get really loud without getting harsh. They do really well in a lot of Euro SQ competitions which I think says a lot.
